The Construction Arbitration Centre (Asia Pacific) (CACAP) has established specialist Working Groups to support the development of professional standards, training programmes, and continuing professional development initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. Each Working Group comprises experienced practitioners and subject-matter experts who contribute to the advancement of best practices in construction arbitration and dispute resolution.
The Arbitration Working Group is responsible for the development and review of arbitration training programmes, practical assessment frameworks, and CPD content relevant to construction and infrastructure disputes. The group also contributes to the ongoing refinement of CACAP accreditation standards in arbitration.
Responsible for the development of expert witness programmes and CPD content relevant to construction and infrastructure disputes. The group also contributes to the ongoing refinement of CACAP accreditation standards for practising expert witnesses.
Oversees the development of mediation training programmes and practical workshops. It provides guidance on best practices, professional standards, and ethical considerations in construction mediation. The group supports the continuous improvement of mediation-related CPD offerings delivered by the Centre.
Develops guidance materials, training courses, and best practice frameworks relating to dispute boards and standing dispute resolution mechanisms in construction projects. The group also contributes to regional awareness and professional development initiatives in this area.
Responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of CPD sessions, seminars, and workshops organised by CACAP. The Committee works closely with the other Working Groups to ensure that all training programmes maintain high professional standards and remain relevant to industry developments.
